Imago Relationship and Parenting Introductory Talk

"Connected Parents, Thriving Kids"

We are hosting a morning talk for all parents and/ or individuals who are intrested in the Imago Theory.

Imago Therapists and Facilitators can assist couples, individuals, families and corporate groups with therapeutic interventions to resolve conflict, create better understanding and meet each ones needs.

Wendy Lawson Msc(Psych)

Wendy will introduce her Imago parenting workshops that she hosts from her home in Oranjezicht for 2013.

ABOUT WENDY...

Intrigued by the profound importance of effective communication in relationships, Wendy uses the Imago methodology to create awareness, unblock interpersonal barriers, and coach dialogue techniques to unlock the full potential of relationships.

It’s great to see children enjoy themselves. It’s deeply rewarding to see them discover a path to a fulfilling life. But when children behave in ways that seem to put their happiness at risk, how can you know what is really going on? It is hard to respond effectively and lovingly if you don’t know what lies behind their behaviour, especially if what they are doing right now is challenging you as a parent!

Based on the best-selling book Giving the Love that Heals (by Harville Hendrix Ph.D. and Helen LaKellyHunt,Ph.D) this programme draws on Imago Relationship’s Theoretical principles and incorporates insights from the latest research into neuroscience and child development.

Also introducing Grete Becker

Grete became a student of Imago Relationship Theory in 2004 when she trained with Hedy Schleifer. During the course of the next seven years, she did numerous trainings with various Imago facilitators. In 2009 she was privileged to do Hedy’s Tikkun Training in JHB and Imago workshop training in 2010, but prefers to combine the theory of Imago with the Tikkun format and structure in her workshops - best of both.

The workshop is a fusion of theory, self work, written excercises, and an introduction to the “ Knee-cap session” - a new way to communicate. Participants leave energized and connected – armed with skills to negotiate the challenges in relationships.

Grete will offer some more insight on her workshops that she will host in Durbanville and the Ubuntu Wellness Centre during the course of 2013.
